There are those who think we can keep pretending things are the same as they were 20 years ago. They act as though the big issues of our time can be defined exclusively in economic or pocketbook terms, and that restricting discourse to the merits of things like tax cuts and deregulation is a sufficient remedy for what ails our country.
Who We Are
Geoff Russ, Co-founder, Editor-at-large
Geoff Russ is a co-founder and editor-at-large of Without Diminishment. Formerly a reporter with The Hub, he has experience in the natural resource sector and is a regular contributor to the National Post. His writing has also appeared in Modern Age, The Spectator Australia, and the Australian Financial Review.
Born and raised in Vancouver, he holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Victoria, and also attended the University of Utrecht.
Alexander Brown, Co-founder, Managing editor
Alexander Brown is a co-founder and managing editor of Without Diminishment. He is a political commentator, communicator, columnist, and is the Director of the National Citizens Coalition. Of late, his work has appeared in the Toronto Sun, The Hub, Juno News, National Post, Western Standard, Canadian Affairs, Rebel News, and on Toronto Today AM 640.
He hosts a weekly show on Juno News, is the writer and editor of the best-selling Acceptable Views Substack, and serves as a contributor to Project Ontario. He holds a degree in Political Science from Dalhousie University.
Dr. Caroline Elliott, Co-founder, Contributor
Dr. Caroline Elliott is a co-founder of and contributor to Without Diminishment. She is a frequent commentator and panelist on B.C.’s most-watched and listened-to TV and radio programs including Global TV, CKNW, CBC Radio and numerous podcasts. Her written columns appear in leading national and provincial publications such as the National Post, The Hub, the Vancouver Sun, and The Province newspaper.
Caroline is a Senior Fellow with the Aristotle Foundation for Public Policy, a director on the board of B.C.’s Public Land Use Society, and has spent years in the natural resource sector. She has a PhD specializing in democratic theory from Simon Fraser University, where she previously taught political science.
