A tremendous article, filled with some very good advice for conservatives, Canadians, and Conservative Party members alike.
Michelle is emblematic of the deep bench strength of the elected members of the Conservative Party of Canada.
In my opinion, without malice or spite, this has been both Pierre Poilievre’s greatest triumph, and his greatest failure.
That is, he has made the struggle about him, about his leadership, and about his own vision of the Country moving forward. He has, in my opinion, not used his key MPs effectively enough. Ms.
Rempel Garner would be among those used most poorly and ineffectively.
Mr. Poilievre’s comments with respect to the Caroline Elliott campaign were sophomoric, ill-timed, and a distraction; his strength is his experience, so act accordingly.
This is a great essay and a timely reminder to conservatives and Conservatives alike, that we have the best story, we are the Party of innovation, opportunity, and human flourishing. We are the choice for Canadians who desire effective, lasting competency & change.
Thank you for a fairly constructive article, Ms. Garner. I like your energy, if not your vision.
In the last 73 years, I have experienced only two flavours of government in Ottawa - Liberal and Liberal Lite.
Please name one - just one - board, agency or commission that Mr. Harper shut down and killed with legislation repeal. I can't think of one. He left the Liberal machine intact so that all Skippy had to do was open the tap.
If you have a truly conservative vision for Canada, please share it. I've had a belly full of Liberal Lite.

Well-done, Michelle.

“Do helpful things”, music to my ears!!
I hope all conservatives - senior experienced ones and newbies- hear this call!
I am so disappointed by well-known conservatives dividing us for personal gain. Things have indeed changed and the grassroots will have none of it.
Like you said… do helpful things.
I will add… if you can’t, please do nothing at all.
