I could not be more thrilled with an announcement, than I am at the moment.

“Our province has been driven in the wrong direction for some time now. Not just slightly off-course, but drastically so. It is being pushed aggressively downward by a government on an ideological crusade that has constantly put its activist beliefs before the well-being of British Columbians.”

Your short note captured concisely and succinctly, not only that which is wrong with British Columbia, but exactly what has gone wrong with Canada, in its entirety.

Bless you, young lady, and Godspeed.

I wish you the best. You seem like an ideal candidate. Earned expertise. Personable and capable of calmly presenting a position. Not a career politician. Hopefully, perfect combination of skill set and timing. Nonetheless, there are some of us as BC residents that have been burned time after time supporting faux conservatives that it is tough to get excited at all. Are we voting for a party, a platform, a person/leader, or just trying to vote against where we're headed? Some of us are desperate to support a person with principles promoted in a party platform that won't be sold out or watered down to gain "consensus."

Thank you for running and thank you for having the courage to state your beliefs so eloquently. I believe that we are at the beginning of a return to a balanced approach to governance in this country. BC has perhaps the longest way to go, but your commitment inspires me.

I am from Ontario but have followed politics in BC primarily because I think the NDP are destroying the province and I did support (J) Rustad that did not fare very well. I tend to vote party rather than Candidate. Ms. Elliott has some good ideas and seems like a good candidate and I would look at her carefully as the election proceeds She has some good traditionally Conservative Ideas.
